I haven’t had a chance to post this, but thank you so much to Emily of EME Photography for sending me the photos. I have been enjoying an abnormally busy summer, so I appreciate everyone being so patient with me.

Anshan and Rob were a sweet and wonderful couple from back East. They had a beautiful day and a wonderfully fun color scheme of fuschia and apple green. Their save the date was SO cute. We used the adorable cactus artwork from Envelopments. For their wedding invitation, they chose one of the fabulous new pocket card invitations, which I of course forgot to have Emily photograph. The natural artwork was created by a talented, graphic artist friend. Anshan had a mix of girly, fun, happy colors with a natural earthy element. Enjoy a few photos from their wedding day!

I grew up in a small town in Kansas. It was important to show appreciation in a tight knit community. Parents did business with each other, kids played together… we all saw each other every day. After birthdays, graduation, Christmas, etc., my mom would sit me down, hand me some pretty note cards, and have me write a personal note to each person that had given me a gift. I am sure I tried to get out of it, but I remember trying to convey my thankfulness for each gift… mainly so I would get another the next year. Now that I’ve grown up (a little bit), I love receiving thank-you notes. I save some of them because I am weird; but I also save them because they remind me that I need to send them to others… I want other people to have reassurance that their generosity- whether it be a physical gift or a gift of their time- didn’t go unnoticed.

I realize that a new trend in wedding thank you notes is to buy a pre-printed “thank you for the wedding gift” message. If you purchase custom thank you notes from Flossy, however, the inside will provide plenty of room for a special personalized message from YOU. I read in an etiquette guide that couples have 1 year after the wedding to complete their thank-you notes. I recommend sending them immediately after receiving the gift… or less than a month or so after the wedding. It’s also nice to put how you’re enjoying using said gift… “We really have put the beautiful throw you gave us to good use… it has kept us very warm on our movie nights!”.

We can create stylish notes with a monogram or wedding photo. It’s a great way to put your beautiful wedding photos to good use. Thank Yous are also a great shower gift! I included a few photos of some we created in 2010-2011.

I am so blessed to be busy with work stuff, but it also leaves little time to update my blogsite. SO, I will be changing out all the photos, etc. in the very near future. ALSO, Flossy was nominated as one of the top 3 Invitation companies for the Arizona Bride Best of 2011. THANK YOU for voting.

Here are some beautiful photos of Teresa and Tony’s day, courtesy of EME Photography and In Awe Weddings. We created menus that also acted as place cards and a seating chart sign board with their monogram. Gorgeous!

Colleen and Brad were married at the Desert Botanical Garden in March. Colleen shares my love of paper products, so we had a lot of fun designing her invites, programs, escort cards, etc. They were definitely modern and fun, but they were very clean and elegant at the same time. We had a circle theme throughout… even the menus were round! The programs had a circle die cut in the front with their monogram showing through.

The day was flawlessly coordinated thanks to Sandy of In Awe Weddings. I was able to see the finished product since I assisted with the wedding that day! Thanks to Cristi Owen for sharing her amazing photographs. She did a great job and was really fun to work with!
